Comprehensive Renovation of a Historic Property

Sustainable & Energy Efficient whilst Preserving Historic Details

North London, UK

This comprehensive flat renovation prioritised energy efficiency and aesthetic refinement. To achieve optimal thermal performance, floors, walls and ceilings were stripped back. Insulation and an underfloor heating system was installed throughout the 200 year old property. A solar analysis guided the decision to enlarge existing openings, maximising natural light penetration. To elevate the interior design, high-quality materials, such as custom-crafted timber doors, sliding doors and brass handles from Austria alongside bespoke hardware were incorporated. The meticulous attention to detail resulted in a space that is not only energy efficient but also visually stunning and enhancing the qualities of this property.  A key element was the design and installation of custom-built wardrobes throughout the property, optimising storage solutions and enhancing the aesthetic appeal. To elevate the interior architecture, curved coving and cornices were meticulously incorporated. A hidden door was strategically integrated to add an element of surprise, to enhancing the overall spatial experience and optimise the space.
